Lime Crime’s Doe Deere Dishes On Special Morning Beauty Routine

Okay, what do The Beatles’ Abbey Road album, Persian cats Puffy Fluffles and Chester von Battingham and the yoga cat-camel position have to do with each other?

According to an interview Doe Deere recently gave to SavoirFlared, these essentials are part of her beauty routine. That’s right; the Lime Crime makeup founder and CEO enjoys listening to the British musical icons as she begins her AM routine. Her two adorable Persian cats are right for hugging, and she stretches to feel limber.

Doe Deere drinks one glass of water each morning as it offers good hydration to start because L.A. features dry air. Breakfast usually means a bowl of nourishing grits or yogurt, fruit and o.j. squeezed right from the oranges she grows in her yard.

She likes using a gentle face wash from a brand called Glossier. It smells like roses, and Doe Deere likes how supple her skin feels. Then it’s on to Murad Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence to lock in key moisture.

Doe Deere wears foundation to keep her complexion flawless and to balance any minor imperfections. Her go-to makeup is by L’Oreal’s True Match. She’s also working on her own line of liquid foundations she can add to the Lime Crime brand soon. Then she sets her face with powder.

When it comes to blush and lipstick, Doe Deere calls both of these items “must-haves.” She often reaches for a pink or red blush and then selects from her Velvetines lippie line of liquid matte formulas.

From the street to the red carpet, the Velvetines have become cult favorites. These gorgeous bold pigments stay put for hours and always dry to a velvety smooth texture. The $20 price tag per tube is worth it because the quality is superb.

The makeup routine can take anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour, and it all depends on how special her day or evening might become or whom she might impress.

In between the foundation and the lipstick application, Doe Deere is obsessed with checking out her Instagram page from her phone. She also checks her emails and finds out what company business needs to be addressed, etc. Doe Deere admits that she lives by her phone’s calendar.
