Sharon Prince is behind the spearhead of the vision linked to Grace Farms as she serves as its President and Chair. It operates privately from 2009 when it was established with the objective of engaging lives via the incorporation of nature, justice, faith, arts, and community. The Company represents a distinct type of public space common between the non-profit making firms and individuals. As well, she served as a commissioner at SANAA towards the design of its supplementary River building.
From the time Grace Farms was opened, it has turned into a graceful place comprising of peace for everyone. It has acquired several awards following its architectural contributions, social good, and environmental sustainability. The awards include AIA National Architecture Honor Award 2017, Illinois Technological Institute’s Mies Crown Hall Americas, and Fast Company’s 2016 Innovation by Design. For the Mies Crown Hall, she took part in a symposium meant to reimagine the Metropolis. She got an appointment into the Honor Awards of AIA Institute with regards to Architecture Jury.
It is through her service within the foundation that she has addressed vices like child exploitation, violence against females at all levels, and human trafficking to the latter. She got a chance to co-host a convening alongside the United Nations United in 2016 named Fighting Human Trafficking in Conflict. The outcome was a published account to the Security Council of the United Nations as well as the UN Resolution. Sharon Prince Grace Farms not only initializes but also develops an international media campaign Unchain. Additionally, she serves at the Next Generation Nepal’s panel which is a charity committed to the reunion of the child exploitation victims and families. She won two awards in 2017 namely Auburn Seminary’s Lives of Commitment Award and NOMI Network’s Abolitionist Award.
